A bonus headline packs a whole offer into one line, and its context sits in the terms. Wildies starts its package with a first-deposit offer, WinBeast’s runs over five deposits and CosmoBet’s over four, so the first deposit is the part to compare. Free spins carry a cap, a clock and a multiple, and cashback is usually a second, smaller bonus. The casinos’ terms quote euros, and some cards show pounds while others show euros, so figures taken from the terms are given in euros here. This post takes each part of a headline in turn, with what several of the casinos we review publish about it, so a headline reads as a set of plain facts.
What does a headline figure describe?
The most the offer can give, added up across its parts. A typical welcome headline puts a percentage, a maximum amount, free spins and cashback in one line. Each of those parts has its own terms. When the offer is a package, the headline adds all of its parts together, so it shows the most the offer can give rather than what one deposit brings.
The percentage tells you how the bonus relates to a deposit: at 100%, the bonus equals the deposit, up to the maximum stated. The maximum is reached only with a deposit large enough to fill it. Free spins and cashback then sit on top, each with rules of their own, which the sections below take one by one.
How many deposits does a welcome package cover?
Often several, and the terms say exactly how the headline is shared out. Three examples from the casinos’ own terms:
- Wildies’ first-deposit offer covers the first part of its welcome package, with a €20 minimum for that deposit.
- WinBeast spreads its welcome package over five deposits, and each one needs at least €20 to qualify.
- CosmoBet, which holds a Curaçao licence, spreads its package over the first four deposits.
Read this way, a package becomes a plan: how many deposits it takes, the smallest amount each one needs, and what the first deposit brings on its own. If you expect to make one or two deposits, the first part of the package is the part to compare, and current packages with their terms are gathered on the Anjouan casino bonuses page.
What sits behind the free spins?
A cap on what the spins can pay out, a time limit and, usually, a wagering multiple. The free spins in a headline are counted in spins, but what they are worth depends on these three lines, set out here for nine of the casinos we review, the Anjouan-licensed ones first:
| Casino | Cap on winnings | Spin expiry and wagering deadline | Wagering on the winnings |
|---|---|---|---|
| Win Place (names Anjouan on its homepage) | €50 from no-deposit spins | 7 days to wager the winnings of its Saturday spins, 3 days for its Wednesday spins | 40 times, 45 times on its Friday spins |
| Mad Casino (Anjouan) | Ten times the minimum deposit, unless an offer states otherwise; at most 2,000 roubles from a no-deposit bonus | 24 hours | 40 times |
| SlotRoyals (Anjouan) | not stated | 7 days | not stated |
| Wildies (Anjouan) | not stated | not stated | 40 times |
| LuckyWave (Costa Rica, by its homepage) | €50 from no-deposit spins, €1,000 from the welcome-package spins | 3 days for claimed free spins | 40 times |
| WinBeast | €100 from free spins | not stated | 40 times, applied to the free-spin result as well as to the bonus |
| ZizoBet (Curaçao) | €100 from free spins or a no-deposit bonus | not stated | not stated |
| Velobet (Curaçao) | €100 from free spins or a no-deposit bonus | not stated | not stated |
| CosmoBet (Curaçao) | €100 from free spins or a no-deposit bonus | 24 hours | not stated |
Mad Casino’s no-deposit cap is quoted in roubles. When a package includes spins, the offer’s own terms say how they are handed out, so check whether each deadline in the table runs from when the spins are credited, claimed or activated. Spins and offers without a deposit have pages of their own: free spins and the no deposit bonus.
What does cashback mean at these casinos?
Mostly a bonus with terms of its own, as at Win Place, LuckyWave and Mad Casino. The terms set out the rules plainly, and Velobet’s promotions page also lists a VIP cashback with no wagering at all:
- Win Place and LuckyWave: cashback is a bonus by default and follows the same rules as any other bonus.
- Mad Casino calculates cashback from its Bronze level upward as your deposits minus your withdrawals, multiplied by a rate of 3% to 15% that rises with your level. It is credited each Sunday for the week before, from a minimum of €2, must be activated within 3 days and carries wagering of 2 to 6 times.
- The Curaçao-licensed ZizoBet, Velobet and CosmoBet give their regular cashback its own wagering and cap what it can pay out at five times its amount in their terms.
- WinBeast ties weekly cashback to its loyalty levels, from level 4 to level 12, and each level sets its own rate, cap, wagering and minimum weekly deposit.
- CosmoBet sets the cashback rate for VIP players individually.
Cashback in a headline is therefore worth reading as a second, smaller bonus: one with a basis, a wagering figure and a cap, all set out in the terms.
Is there a ceiling on what a win can pay?
Yes, at two levels: the bonus caps, and a cap on any single win. The bonus caps come first. Win Place and LuckyWave stop a bonus paying out more than ten times its own amount, unless an offer says otherwise; at SlotRoyals, unless a welcome offer sets its own figure, the most a welcome bonus can turn into is ten times the bonus, with five times for a reload; and at ZizoBet, Velobet and CosmoBet, winnings from a deposit bonus top out at ten times the deposit behind it. Our guide on how to read bonus terms sets these caps beside the wagering they follow.
Above them sits a limit on single wins, with or without a bonus. Wildies caps the winnings from one game round, whether a spin, a hand or a bet, at €150,000, and ZizoBet, Velobet and CosmoBet cap any single win at €100,000 or its equivalent, with progressive jackpots outside the cap. These lines rarely matter for an everyday session, and they are worth knowing before a high-stakes one.
A headline translated, part by part
Any headline on our cards can be turned into plain facts with the same four questions:
| Part of the headline | Question to ask | Where the answer sits |
|---|---|---|
| Percentage and maximum | How many deposits does it take to reach the maximum, and what does the first one bring? | The offer’s own terms |
| Wagering | Does the multiple apply to the bonus alone, or to the deposit plus the bonus, and within how many days? | The offer’s own terms, then the general bonus terms |
| Free spins | What is the cap on their winnings, and how long does each batch last? | The free-spins clauses of the bonus terms |
| Cashback | Is it paid as a bonus, on what basis, and with what wagering? | The cashback or loyalty section |
A card shows only the multiple. Whether it applies to the bonus alone or to the deposit plus the bonus is set out in each casino’s own terms, so the table below prices both bases. Here is how the answers turn into numbers. Take a £100 deposit on a 100% match, so a £100 bonus. We assume 7 days to finish the wagering; each casino sets its own deadline:
| Wagering rule | Total bets | Bets per day over 7 days |
|---|---|---|
| 25x the bonus | £2,500 | £357 |
| 30x the bonus | £3,000 | £429 |
| 40x the bonus | £4,000 | £571 |
| 25x the deposit plus the bonus | £5,000 | £714 |
| 30x the deposit plus the bonus | £6,000 | £857 |
| 40x the deposit plus the bonus | £8,000 | £1,143 |
If the bonus can pay out at most ten times its own amount, as at Win Place and LuckyWave by default, the most it can turn into is £1,000, whatever the balance shows at the end. With those answers written down, two headlines of very different sizes can be compared on equal terms, and the offer that suits your deposits and your games usually becomes clear.
